Message from Kier Highways re A11 Southbound – 17 Dec 2018

Dear Local Stakeholder,

I write to inform you that starting tonight, Kier will be resurfacing sections of the A11 southbound between Tuttles Lane and Spooner Row interchanges, on behalf of Highways England. Recent inspections have identified the need for urgent carriageway maintenance works in this location, for road safety reasons.

We plan to undertake this work over the next five weeknights, with working hours of 8pm to 6am, weather permitting. Works will finish on the morning of Saturday 22 December. During these works, the A11 southbound between Tuttles Lane and Spooner Row interchanges will be closed. Please note that on Thursday 20 December, works won’t start until 10pm to reduce impact on the local roads, due to late night Christmas shopping in Norwich.

We will continue to monitor the condition of the carriageway in the area. This may result in works in the New Year to rectify any issues found and ensure the safety of the traveling public.

A map showing the road closure and diversion route is listed below.

Diversion route

A clearly signed diversion route will be in place directing traffic through Wymondham along the B1172 London Road/Harts Farm Road, between Tuttles Lane Interchange and Spooner Row Interchange.
